Shared Resources

Shared Resources is required to optimize file size and load resources into RAM. You can read the level loading scheme here.

SGPatcher only collects the resources that the scene needs.

For each scene, a separate file is created that contains all the resources that are used in the scene. Therefore, if two scenes have links to the same resources, the scene files will contain duplicates, which will increase the file size and increase the loading of the scene into RAM.

To solve this problem, we created the Shared Resources system. You need to point to the folder that contains the shared resources that are used in multiple scenes:

The resources that will be contained in this folder will be packed into a separate file. To use this file in a scene, you need to select it in the scene list:

None - means that the scene does not use Shared Resources and all resources will be included in the scene file.
